Dean Dawn Wharram (pronouns: she/her), originally from Northeast Ohio, has worked in higher education for 25 years with 20 years being in the field of international education. Prior to F&M, she worked at Millersville University as an Education Abroad Advisor, and she has also worked at Tulane's Freeman Business School with dual degree programs in Latin America and at Rollins College in study abroad and taught college Spanish for many years. Dean Wharram has a BA and a MA in Spanish from Bowling Green State University, and a MA in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida.

Students will meet with either Dean Wharram or Dean Mennicke based on their first semester program of interest. 
Within the programs list, each OCS Advisor has their own program portfolio.

Semester OCS: Ready to schedule an appointment with Dean Wharram?
  • Make sure that you have completed Steps 1 & 2 of the semester OCS application or the appt will be cancelled.
  • All appointments will take place via Google Meet.
  • Please check your microphone and speakers that they are working prior to advising. If not working, please reschedule. 
  • Check that your F&M Google calendar on your computer is set to the Eastern (New York) time zone
  • To schedule a 30 minute required advising appointment with Dean Wharram for a semester program, copy & paste into a new tab the calendar schedule into your browser:

Summer or Winter OCS:
  • Drop-in advising appointments are available through the advising period in the fall term. 
  • Students will either meet with Dean Wharram or Dean Mennicke. 
  • It is preferred that students will have completed Steps 1 & 2 of the summer OCS application or Steps 1 & 2 of the winter OCS application prior to a drop-in appointment. If a student's summer or winter plans change, the application can be withdrawn without issue. 
  • All drop-in appointments will take place via Google Meet.
  • Please check your microphone and speakers that they are working prior to advising. If not working, please reschedule. 
  • Check that your F&M Google calendar on your computer is set to the Eastern (New York) time zone.
